Outreach Offshore Visits Long-Time Partner Palfinger for 2020 Planning
This past week, Outreach Offshore’s Stuart Finlayson and Gary Waugh visited the city of Salzburg in Austria to meet with our long-running partners, Palfinger. The purpose of the visit was to participate in multiple strategy meetings for the upcoming year to strengthen the relationship between both brands. These meetings took place in Palfinger’s Kassern Site. It is hoped that through a stronger relationship both parties can collaborate to result in better support to customers in the fishing, oil and gas and marine industries.
Part of this trip involved a visit to the Palfinger Lengau plant. Although this plant is primarily used for servicing the truck crane market, it is home to Palfinger’s recent investment, Palfinger World. This facility offers an opportunity for guests to get to know the brand through an immersive experience of their product and service portfolio. Within the interactive exhibition, there is a 3D visualisation suite in which guests are invited to step into the world of Palfinger.
Palfinger World was a 5.7 Million Euro investment which allows clients and customers to visit and get a feel for the company and its capabilities. It supports the company’s 21st-century vision for the future of lifting solutions which coincides with their current push in the development of design, innovation and product excellence. Outreach Offshore shares this vision as we aspire to design and create bespoke lifting solutions that meet this esteemed product excellence.
Alongside this investment in technology, Palfinger has also introduced apprenticeship schemes to invest in the future talent and plan for succession. It is expected that these schemes will increase skill levels and retain the key knowledge and information of their products.
We are excited that this visit has resulted in a stronger and more collaborative relationship between Outreach Offshore and Palfinger. It is clear that Palfinger has big plans for the future and we are looking forward to evolve with them.
