Outreach Offshore Ltd are nearing completion of Set To Work (STW) and commissioning of the Safe Working Load (SWL) 990Kg 114 PF 20000-7 Transition Piece (TP) cranes on Seagreen wind farm. Outreach Offshore Ltd have completed this project in partnership with Palfinger Marine. The cranes were originally installed on the TP’s at build from three yards, two of which are based in China and one based in the UAE. As part of this team effort the cranes were installed and underwent the factory acceptance trials at the build yards by Palfinger service personnel, in readiness to be passed over to Outreach Offshore Ltd Service department to continue the process in compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations for new installations in the UK.
Outreach Offshore Ltd ensured that when the jackets arrived in the UK that the cranes were inspected and checked for damage during transit. Any issues were corrected in readiness for the final stages of sea acceptance trials for the newly installed jacket sitting in UK waters. Outreach Offshore continue to provide technical support and assistance to the project. The Outreach Offshore and Palfinger approach provided a seamless route of contact between the jacket installation team, Palfinger the OEM and the installation yards to ensure all information and technical scopes were carried out exactly as intended.
As part of the ongoing support Outreach Offshore provide onshore operator training and basic maintenance training to operating crews. This is carried out at our at our Falkirk facility using an additional PF20000-7 crane dedicated to supporting the field.
