Outreach Offshore Ltd will be installing two PTM1200 quayside cranes in support of the Moray West wind farm located in the East Coast of Scotland.  These cranes will be installed on a jetty based in Buckie to support the CTV’s (Crew Transfer Vessel’s) visiting the wind farm.

The PTM cranes were specially developed to provide man riding and rescue capabilities to assist in the retrieval of potential casualties directly from a CTV or support vessel.  Outreach Offshore have worked closely with civil engineering and design teams to ensure the installation will meet the correct standards and will offer longevity of the cranes whilst in service.

Outreach Offshore service engineers will install and load test the cranes in accordance with LOLER and PUWER regulations, providing full documentation for each unit on completion.  Outreach Offshore are the UK Palfinger dealer and support all services for Palfinger cranes when they are in operation, with access to genuine Palfinger parts and technical support from Palfinger in the event of software updates etc.  As an approved ALLMI training organisation we also provide bespoke training for the safe operation of cranes to a high standard coupled with basic maintenance training.
